Making wine in Ribeira Sacra is not for everyone; it is a physical challenge. The steep slopes where the vineyards are planted make the work extremely difficult, with little room for mechanisation. Mauricio Lorca comes to Galicia in search of exactly that: places that demand the utmost and deliver an identity that cannot be replicated. In Galicia we find freshness, tension and Atlantic elegance.

The Amandi sub-zone, at the heart of the Ribeira Sacra D.O., is the epicentre of the winery's Galician work. Its slate and granite terraces above the Sil river canyon demand hand-harvesting in extreme conditions. The Mencía grape, the leading varietal on these slopes, expresses here a mineral tension and vibrant acidity impossible to replicate in more comfortable soils.

Alongside Mencía, varieties such as Sousón, Caíño Tinto, Garnacha and Godello complete the winery's Galician palette. Galicia's wines are the Atlantic counterpoint to the Mendoza reds: lighter in body, more taut in acidity, fragrant with red flowers and wild herbs, with a mineral finish that recalls wet river stone.
